PERRYVILLE – Perry County School District 32 asks for the community’s cooperation in avoiding construction areas on campus due to safety concerns.
Several areas on campus remain active construction zones as crews continue working to recover from the damages sustained during the March 14 tornado.
Community members are advised not to walk or drive through areas that are fenced off, barricaded, or are otherwise evident as being active work zones.
These areas contain heavy equipment, open worksites, and other potential hazards, and unauthorized entry poses serious health and safety risks.

“We understand there is a lot of excitement with all of the progress happening on campus right now,” said Campus Safety Director Garrett Schott. “We appreciate all the community support, but we also ask folks to please stay at a safe distance and help us maintain a secure environment for everyone involved.”
Band facility
“We have staff members and construction partners on campus just about every day taking photos and documenting the recovery progress,” said Superintendent Dr. Fara Jones. “We encourage anyone who is interested to follow our District social media channels or check our website for regular updates.”

Community members are still welcome to use the track, but are asked not to walk through the construction on the Bus Lot.
