JEFFERSON CITY, MO – The Missouri Department of Natural Resources has issued a construction permit to Phoenix Park Hills Industrial Investors LLC to construct the Reworld Solutions, LLC – Park Hills solid waste processing facility in St. Francois County.
The facility will process recovered materials to be used in creating alternative engineered fuel, as well as solid waste for proper disposal at a thermal mechanical treatment facility or landfill.
The site is to be located at 1000 Taylor Ave, 1.4 miles west of Highway 67, on the north side of Parkway Drive in the city of Park Hills in St. Francois County.
The department reviews all applications submitted by cities, counties and private owners to ensure that solid waste processing facilities are properly designed and constructed. Other technical factors that protect Missouri’s environment are also examined. The department must issue an operating permit before the facility can accept waste.
