David Wallace Schnurbusch Sr.

David Wallace Schnurbusch Sr. 74, of Saint Mary, Missouri passed away Monday, March 23, 2026.

He was born September 16, 1951 in Perryville, MO to Wallace and Rose LaVerne (Gibbar) Schnurbusch.

David and Debbie Haupt were married on September 29, 1990. She survives him in Perryville.

He had 41 years of service between the United States Army and National Guard.

David was a member of the American Legion Post #133 and the American Legion Honor Guard.

He worked as a brick layer. David enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing music. He loved his pets and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville.

Survivors include two sons, David (Angie) Schnurbusch Jr., Wayne (Karen) Schnurbusch; daughter, Sheila (Will) Jett; step-daughter, Melissa (Bill) Goehman; step-son, Terry Lynn (Brooke) James; brother, Dale Schnurbusch; four sisters, Pat (Glennon) Zoellner, Carol (Glen) Buchheit, Barb (Paul) Ponder, Joan (David) Hotop; twenty grandchildren, Drew, Kyla, Brianna, Shea, Easton, Kaylynn, Bayley, Maggie, Jesse, Emma, Calvin, Weston, Lylah, Blaine, Trevor, Kaylie, Lily, Peyton, Michael, Anya; two great-grandchildren, Rhett & Koehn.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville and will continue from 8:00 am to 9:50 am on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at the funeral home.

Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville with Deacon John Darin officiating.

Military Honors will be provided by Delta Team and American Legion #133.

Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.

Memorial contributions may be given to Missouri National Veterans Memorial .
