Chester’s W. O. Smith Field has new lighting

CHESTER – GEO Sport Lighting Company has installed new LED lights at Chester High School’s W.O. Smith Field, which were debuted during the last Friday’s game with Trenton-Wesclin. The new lights replace outdated halogen lights providing cost savings and improved visibility.

This is the look from the top of the entrance to W.O. Smith Football Field at Chester High School. Workers from the GEO Sport Lighting Company have been busy since Tuesday September 23 replacing the lighting at the field. The decades old halogen lights had become outdated and not as bright as their former functioning, not to mention the much higher cost to operate. All four bans of lights at the field have been replaced with modern LED lights which will be much more economical and provide much better visibility at W.O. Smith Field.
