CHESTER – The Chester Area Christian Food Pantry August Mobile Market was held Wednesday August 27.

The event was located at the Cohen Recreation Complex parking lot. Items distributed included watermelons, carrots, cabbage, potatoes, Purina Dog Chow, Prairie Farm Moo-Lucious Coffee Additive, apples, and a bag of mixed food items.
The event served 111 vouchers.
Approximately 75 automobiles line up for the Chester Area Christian Food Pantry August Mobile Market.
During the month of June 2025, the Chester Area Christian Food Pantry (CACFP) served 198 households with 515 individuals. Of those, 173 were children. The Pantry can use boxed dinners, canned pasta items, canned soups, canned vegetables, and canned fruit. It can also use canned tuna fish, 8 oz. peanut butter, Ramen Noodles, baby wipes, and size 6 diapers. Monetary donations are also always welcomed to purchase items that are not donated.
The event was deemed to be very successful.
The Chester Area Christian Food Pantry is managed by Bob Koenigstein of the First United Methodist Church of Chester.
