Volunteers at the September 2025 Chester Aea Christian Food Pantry Mobile Market unload, sort, and bag fresh apples to distribute at the event. Approximately 100 clients were served at the September Mobile Market. Besides apples, clients also received zucchini, watermelons, potatoes, apple sauce, Capri Sun drink pouches, fresh eggs, a mixed bag of food and other kitchen supplies, and large bags of meats. Roughly 30 volunteers from the Chester community helped to make the event a huge success. The Food Pantry, located at Koeneman Acres in Chester, served 225 households with 586 individuals in August. Of those 586 individuals, 213 were children. Currently the pantry is in need of boxed dinners, soups, crackers, tuna fish, canned meats, and vegetables. Monetary donations further help to purchase specific food items that are not donated. The CACFP is managed by Bob Koenigstein, of the First United Methodist Church in Chester. Jim Beers Photo
