CHESTER – The Chester Fire Department was called out at 5:58 a.m. Monday December 29 for a structure fire at 1110 George Street in Chester. First units on the scene found the roof on fire at the time.
At 8:20 a.m. Fire Departments from Chester, Steeleville, Sparta, and Perryville were still on scene tending to hot spots with the aid of the Perryville, Missouri aerial ladder truck.
A relative of the occupants said that all belongings were lost. The home was gutted. Jim Beers Photos
