Change of party affiliation causes filing for Ste. Genevieve Co. county prosecuting attorney to be reopened

STE. GENEVIEVE – The Ste. Genevieve County Clerk’s Office has announced that filing for one of the offices on the ballot in the August Primary Election will re-open April 7 and continue through April 10.

 

According to a news release, filing was reopened because one of the candidates for prosecuting attorney filed a statement of withdrawal on March 31, 2026. 

 

Because the withdrawal occurred within two working days prior to the candidate filing deadline of

5 p.m. March 31, pursuant to Section 115.361.4, RSMo, candidate filing for prosecuting attorney which closed on March 31, 2026 at 5:00 p.m., will reopen Tuesday, April 7 until 5 p.m. Friday, April 10, 2026.
