STE. GENEVIEVE – Cecilia Mooney, the Elks Student of the Month for December from Ste. Genevieve High School. Cecilia is the daughter of John and Elaine Mooney.
Cecilia’s scholastic honors include: being in the Top 10 Percent of her class, earning Summa Cum Laude and receiving the Algebra I award. Cecilia is Drum Major for the Ste. Genevieve High School Marching Band (a role she held both as a junior and senior), and she has also been a member of the following clubs and organizations: National Honor Society (NHS), Women of the Word, Tri-M Music Honor Society (holding the office of secretary), and Mentors. Cecilia participates in Track and Field, and was named All-Conference Track Athlete her freshman, sophomore, and junior years.
Cecilia is employed by the YMCA as a lifeguard. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her friends and boyfriend, running, flying, and watching movies with her family.
Cecilia plans on majoring in aviation and becoming a commercial pilot.
