A funeral will be held Friday, February 6, 2026 for 87-year-old Carolyn A. Schott of Sainte Genevieve, MO, formerly of Bloomsdale, MO who passed away January 29, 2026.

 

She is survived by son: Thomas (Marilyn) Schott, daughter: Carrie St. Clair, daughter: Melinda (David) Wolk, daughter: Margaret (Steve) Gettinger, brother: Larry (Jeanie) Huffman; grandchildren: Leslie, Elizabeth, Jennifer, Kimberly, Joshua, Shane, Tyler, Ashley, and Matthew; great-grandchildren: Cameron, Conner, Nevaeh, Ivan, Austin, Leah, Jeremy, Alexis, Josh, Philip, Carrissa, Kerstin, Chassidy, Dakota, Brett, Alba, and Bryce; great-great-grandchildren: Natalie, Gary, Zayden, Layla, Laythum, Jack, Kennadi, Riley, and Seraphina, and many nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband: John R. Schott; three brothers: Robert Huffman, Charles Huffman, Jerry Huffman; a sister: Marilyn Obermann; her father: Vester “Bud” Huffman; her mother: Sadie (Thomas) Huffman; her father-in-law: George Schott; her mother-in-law: Dorothy Schott; three sisters-in-laws: Barbara Huffman, Gloria Huffman-Barringer, and Judy Huffman-Ross; her brother-in-law: Randy Schott; grandchildren: Ethan Schott, Jeremy St. Clair, and Christy St. Clair; great-grandchild: Kayla Sellers Winston; nieces: Sondra Bradford, and Laynaigh Potter; nephews: Terrance Huffman, Randy Huffman, and Bryan Kelley.

 

Known to her family as Mother, Mom, Mama, Ma, Nena, Granny, and Grandma.

 

She enjoyed spending time with family, going out to eat, playing bingo, and watching Gunsmoke, John Wayne, and Audie Murphy westerns.

 

Carolyn loved her family dearly and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

 

Visitation will be 10 a.m. – 12 noon Friday, February 6, 2026 at the Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve, MO.

 

A funeral for 87-year-old Carolyn A. Schott of Sainte Genevieve will be held 12 noon Friday, February 6, 2026 at the Basler Funeral Home.

 

Burial will be at Crestlawn Cemetery in Sainte Genevieve.

 

Memorials may be made to the Riverview at the Park Activities Fund
