CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Saint Francis Healthcare System is pleased to welcome Ashley Wheeler, APRN, FNP-C to Saint Francis Clinic Kingshighway. She graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, MO, in 2026 with a Master of Science in Nursing degree, and she is board certified with the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Wheeler is a primary care nurse practitioner, providing annual wellness exams, diagnosis and treatment of acute illnesses, chronic disease management, medication management and preventative care.

Wheeler enjoys growing relationships with her patients and helping patients manage their health throughout their lifetime. She said, “As a Family Nurse Practitioner, primary care allows me to make a lasting impact by promoting wellness, catching health problems early and serving as a trusted resource for individuals and families in the community. After spending the past ten years as a nurse, I’ve seen how important it is to have a provider who listens, partners with patients and coordinates their care.”
