Armed robbery reported at Quick Stop in Perryville

****UPDATE ***** The Perryville Police Department has a suspect in custody. Another press report will be released upon receipt of a warrant.

PERRYVILLE — Police in Perryville are investigating the report of an armed robbery Thursday morning.

The call came in at approximately 5:45 a.m., and officers were detailed to the QuickStop convenience store 1236 W. St. Joseph.

According to video surveillance, a white male approximately 6-foot to 6-foot, 3-inches tall wearing a long-sleeved off-white shirt, blue jeans with a green nylon belt, gloves, and a T-shirt wrapped around his head to conceal his face, entered the store at approximately 05:40 am.

He displayed a long-bladed knife at the attendant, then moved behind the register and took a bank bag from under the counter.

The subject then fled the store, leaving in a black sedan, possibly a Nissan, toward Perryville Boulevard (Mo 51).

Sgt. Jeri Cain, Public Information Officer for the Perryville Police Department asks “Anyone with information regarding this incident to contact the Perryville Police Department at (573) 547-4546 or through our Facebook Messenger.”

Sgt. Cain added, “This is an ongoing investigation and will be updated when an arrest is made.”
