Anthony “Tony” Gerard Melliere, 62, of Prairie du Rocher, Illinois, passed away at 4:19 am, Saturday, May 9, 2026, at his residence.
He was born to Norman “Boog-a-loo” and Mary (nee Rickert) Melliere on June 3, 1963, in Red Bud, Illinois.
Tony had worked as a water tower painter for 25 years.
Tony was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Prairie du Rocher, Illinois, and he proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps.
Tony was a man who found his greatest peace in the quiet beauty of the natural world. An avid outdoorsman, he was never happier than when he was hunting in the early-morning woods or waiting for a bite on a fishing line.
