Amschler and Kellerman will assume their new roles to begin the 2026-27 school year.
“We are proud to welcome two outstanding educators into new leadership roles,” said District 32 Superintendent Dr. Fara Jones. “Having served District 32 students for many years as teachers, they bring a deep understanding of our schools, our values, and the needs of our students. Their leadership will help us continue building strong learning environments where every student can succeed.”
A former assistant principal at PPC, Amschler returns to the administrative ranks after spending the last two years in the classroom. Amschler has a combined eight years of experience as a fourth-grade teacher at Perryville Elementary School in addition to serving five years as the PPC Assistant Principal from 2019 to 2024.
Amschler holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Southeast Missouri State University (2011) and a master’s degree in administration from William Woods University (2017). She succeeds Emily Koenig who will depart District 32 after 25 years as a teacher and principal to become the superintendent for the Chaffee R-II School District to begin the 2026-27 school year. Amschler will serve alongside PPC Assistant Principal Abigale Harris.
“I’m excited to step into leadership again with a stronger sense of perspective,” Amschler said. “I feel ready to lead in a way that is intentional, sustainable, and centered on what truly matters — students, teachers, and community.”
Kellerman will begin her first role in administration after spending 20 years as a teacher and counselor. She has been the Perry County Middle School counselor since 2020 after serving 13 years as a fifth grade teacher in District 32 from 2007 to 2020. Prior to District 32, she served two years as a kindergarten teacher at Immanuel Lutheran School in Perryville.
Kellerman holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from SEMO (2004), a master’s degree in administration from William Woods University (2009), and a master’s degree in school counseling from the University of Central Arkansas (2019). She succeeds Stacey Versemann who has been appointed District 32’s next chief academic officer. Kellerman will serve alongside PCMS Principal Nick Cowell.
“It is an honor to serve Perry County Middle School in this new role as Assistant Principal,” Kellerman said. “I look forward to working alongside Mr. Cowell and our dedicated teachers to support a strong, caring academic environment where all students can continue to learn and grow.”
