JEFFERSON CITY – The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a 28-year-old Altenburg woman was flown to St. Louis University Hospital by an Air Evac helicopter Sunday evening following an ATV crash on private property on Lucky Lane in Perry County.
The patrol says the woman was a passenger in a 2023 Can Am Defender Max side by side which traveled up an embankment and overturned onto its right side, partially ejecting the woman and coming to rest on top of her.
The operator of the ATV, a 23-year-old Altenburg man, was not injured.
The crash happened about 6:40 p.m. in the 200 block of Lucky Lane.
The patrol says neither occupant was using a safety device.
The ATV had minor damage and was driven from the scene.
