JEFFERSON CITY — The number of new COVID-19 cases in Missouri rose slightly between December 19th and 21st according to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Service.
The seven day total of confirmed and probable cases for the period ending December 21st was 20,542, an increase of about three percent.
The average number of confirmed and probable cases per day was around 2,935.
The number of confirmed and probable deaths during the period was 25.
The vaccination rate in Missouri is 53.4 percent for those who have completed the vaccination series.
Perry County had 48 confirmed and probable cases for the week ending December 21st, a nine percent increase over the seven days ending December 19th. That’s a daily average of 6.9 new cases a day.
There were no deaths during the period.

Ste. Genevieve County had 62 new confirmed and probable cases during the seven days ending December 21st, a 1.6 percent decrease over the seven days ending December 19. That’s an average of 8.9 new cases a day.
