CHESTER – On Friday May 10 at 830 a.m. Art Zemon, a bicyclist from St. Charles, Missouri, stopped to the Popeye Statue located at the Chester Grade School.
Zemon is making a bike trip from St. Charles to Atlanta, Georgia, and happened to see the statue as he was traveling through Chester via Route 3.
Zemon was curious why there were Popeye statues located throughout the City of Chester.
After receiving a brief explanation, happily he returned to Rt. 3 South to continue his journey to Atlanta.
