Celebrating 50 years of care: Community Counseling Center unveils new logo and honors community partners

From a news release

CAPE GIRARDEAU – Community Counseling Center (CCC), a leader of behavioral health support in the community, is proud to announce its 50th year of operation. Established in 1974, CCC has committed to providing compassionate care to individuals and families facing mental health and substance use challenges.

To mark this significant milestone, CCC hosted celebratory luncheons in each of its five counties in its service area, including Bollinger, Cape Girardeau, Madison, Perry, and Ste. Genevieve, throughout May, coinciding with Mental Health Awareness Month. At these events, CCC unveiled its new logo, a leaf and a plus sign symbolizing CCC’s growth and the vision to create a diverse and inclusive behavioral healthcare system where individuals and families can readily access mental health and substance use services, feel welcome, accepted, and leave services with hope and improved quality of life.

“We are thrilled to celebrate this achievement of fifty years of service to our community,” said Wendy Ice, CEO of Community Counseling Center. “Since our inception, we have been privileged to walk alongside individuals on their journey to wellness and recovery. Our new logo represents our continued commitment to providing accessible and inclusive behavioral health care for all.”

In addition to unveiling the new logo, each location honored a Community Partner of the Year, recognizing organizations and individuals who have demonstrated exceptional support and advocacy for mental health and substance use awareness and services in these communities. These partners have played a vital role in furthering CCC’s mission.
