Zayden Henry Walton, 15, of Perryville, Missouri passed away Thursday, May 2, 2024.
He was born July 22, 2008 in Perryville, MO to Kaycee (Hedge) Walton.
Zayden successfully completed his middle school education at PCSD #32 and then began home schooling for the past two years.
Zayden enjoyed spending time with his son, family, sister Lillee and “Bonus Brother” CJ. His love for art gave his soul a brightness, and in return; his smile became the light for others. Zayden always knew when others needed to be lifted because of his bright spirit. Zayden also found peace in music and often stated, money can’t buy happinesses; he spent a lot of time “vibin” and drawing on his iPad. Zayden created many moments of happiness and touched the lives of many others.
As a young father, Zayden took full responsibility for his son and spent many days smiling, playing, and cheering on his child. He often told him “good job!” and clapped for his tiny successes. Zayden’s love for him was untouchable.
Survivors include his mother “Momma”, step-father, Michael Cornelius; son, Taven Walton; sister, Lillee Gaulding; grandmother, Cindy “Mammie” Hedge; two aunts, Kaylin “Sissy” Hedge, Abby “Aunt Abby” (Carlton) Hamette; uncle, Seth “Gator” Little; two great aunts, Sherry “Aunt Sherry” Bodenschatz, Anna Marie “Aunt Sis” Berkbuegler;
He was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Delmer “PaPa” Hedge, Jr.; maternal great grandparents, Fred & Hazel Bodenshatz; maternal great grandfather, Delmer Hedge, Sr; uncle, Ricky Hedge.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Friday, May 10, 2024 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
A brief memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm Friday, May 10, 2024 at Ford & Young Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be given for family use.
