A memorial service Saturday, May 11, 2024 for 67-year-old Connie Sue McDaniel of Chester, Ill., who passed away at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at SIH Memorial Hospital of Carbondale, Carbondale, Ill.
She was born December 17, 1956, daughter of Wilbert and Mabel (nee Verseman) Homan who both preceded her in death.
She is survived by three children: Mary (Derek) Coulson of Johnston City, Ill., Ashley (Krystal) McDaniel of Perryville, Mo., and Andy (Garrett) McBride of Perryville, Mo.; two siblings: Kenny (Melanie) Homan of Chester, Ill. and Kevin (Mary Jo) Homan Chester, Ill.; eight grandchildren:
Andrew, Matthew and Lauren Friess, Zachery, Luke and Brett McDaniel, Natasha McBride and Preston Turbyville; a great grandchild: Malakai; a great great grandchild due May 23, 2024 and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was also preceded in death by here first husband: Jack Shaw.
Connie had worked as a certified nursing assistant at Three Springs Lodge Nursing Home before her retirement in 2022.
She enjoyed playing bingo, watching her favorite TV shows and going out to eat with family and friends.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2024 at the Pechacek Funeral Home, Chester, Ill.
