Illinois Manufacturers’ Association welcomes new board member

SPRINGFIELD— The Illinois Manufacturers’ Association (IMA) has named Pat Kenefick, Vice President of Global Distribution and Logistics for AbbVie, to its Board of Directors as the association continues its strong record of leadership on behalf of manufacturers across the state.

 

“We are happy to welcome Pat as the newest member of our Board of Directors and look forward to leveraging his expertise to advance the interests of manufacturers across our state,” said Mark Denzler, President and CEO of the IMA. “His background and experience in global supply chains and logistics will be an asset as we work to grow jobs and investment in Illinois and continue our mission of boldly moving makers forward.”

 

As Vice President of Global Distribution and Logistics at AbbVie, Kenefick is responsible for worldwide oversight of distribution and logistics, global deployment of serialization programs for pharma and medical devices, as well as responsibility for Global Facilities Planning. He established and deployed a global analytics organization that drives predictive programs and optimization initiatives that has delivered significant cost savings and robust business continuity strategies for the company. Prior to his current position, he led company separation activities in 2012 between Abbott/AbbVie for Global Quality before joining AbbVie in January 2013. 

 

Kenefick earned his bachelor’s degree in Statistics and Mathematics from the University of Tennessee. Outside of work, he contributes to several community and civic initiatives. He was elected to Horizons, a business leadership council and is passionate about local educational programs such as Junior Achievement. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf and tennis with his two daughters and traveling the world with his family.
