A private funeral has been held for 96-year-old Robert Langeneckert of Sainte Genevieve, Mo. who passed away Friday, December 17, 2021 at his home.
He was born December 23, 1924 in St. Louis, Mo., the son of Joseph Antone Langeneckert and Norma (Johansen) Langeneckert, who both preceded him in death.
He married Mary (Burr) Langeneckert on January 18, 1975. She survives in Sainte Genevieve.
He is also survived by three daughters: Connie Pruitt of Bloomsdale, Mo., Norma Jean Morice of Sainte Genevieve, and Kathy McTearnen of Farmington, Mo.; a son: Wendell (Deborah “Bev”) Langeneckert of Bloomsdale; two brothers: Joseph (Barbara) Langeneckert, Jr. of St. Peters, Mo. and Dick Langeneckert of Sainte Genevieve; nine grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a son: Danny Langeneckert; three sisters: Blossom A. Hogenmiller, Fern Greear, and Joyce Langeneckert; a brother: Norman Langeneckert; and two grandchildren.
Burial was at Crestlawn Cemetery in Sainte Genevieve with full military honors performed by VFW Post No. 2210.
