Conservative members of the Brazilian National Congress to meet with members of the U.S. House of Representatives

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Conservative Caucus and its President Jim Pfaff invited members of Congress to meet with a delegation of 19 Brazilian legislators and six Brazilian journalists.

There was a scheduled meeting with the House Foreign Affairs Committee designed to discuss the

Brazilian government’s campaign to suppress free speech in Brazil. However, Congressman Jim McGovern (D-MA) used his privilege to cancel the hearing after arrangements were made for a couple dozen legislators from Brazil to come participate–ironically suppressing the speech of these foreign legislators while in the United States.

These members of The Chamber of Deputies in Brazil will talk about their growing concerns for freedom in Brazil and South America and the implications for the United States and beyond.
