Ste. Genevieve sales tax receipts show a rebound in February

STE. GENEVIEVE — Ste. Genevieve’s sales tax receipts have rebounded a bit, after being down the first month of the calendar year.

 

The Missouri Department of Revenue reports the city’s one percent general sales tax brought in $88,242.80 in Februrary, which is an increase of $16,271,05 over the same month last year.

 

So far this calendar year, the sales tax has brought in $155,242.04, an increase of $8,421.16 over the first two months of 2023.

 

The city’s other sales taxes, the mass transportation and capital taxes showed similar improvements.

 

Ste. Genevieve’s consolidated city use tax brought in $50,484.30 in February which is an increase of $25,694.64 over the same month last year.

 

So far this calendar year, the city use tax has brought in $109,042.74 which is up $69,290.48 from the same period last year.
