JEFFERSON CITY – Two Perryville residents were hurt in a traffic crash on Route B in Perry County Friday morning.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 37-year-old Nicole S. Schemel had serious injuries and 27-year-old Damien S. McAlister had moderate injuries. Schemel was taken to St. Francis Medical Center by ambulance. McAlister was taken to Mercy Hospital Perry by personal conveyance.
The patrol says the crash happened when a northbound 2015 Nissan Rogue driven by Schemel failed to negotiate a curve to the right and traveled off the right side of the road and overturned.
The patrol says neither occupant was buckled up.
The crash happened about 10:35 a.m. near Rolling Hills.
The Nissan was a total loss and was removed by Perry County Towing.
