A funeral will be held Friday, March 15, 2024 for 73-year-old Robert C Schweiss of New Offenburg, Mo. who passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at home on the farm.
He was born December 29, 1950 in New Offenburg, Mo. a son of Thomas Schweiss and Martha (Schwent) Schweiss who preceded him in death.
He married Theresa “Teri” (Zienkowicz) Schweiss on December 28, 1974. She survives in New Offenburg.
He is also survived by two daughters: Cynthia (David) Bleckler of Jackson, Mo., and Jacqueline (Kevin) Griffin of Arnold, Mo.; a son: Dan (Haley) Schweiss of New Offenburg, Mo.; three sisters: Rosey Flieg of Sainte Genevieve, Mo., Judy (Bernard) Grass of New Offenburg, Mo., and Brenda (Ronnie) Joggerst of Staabtown, Mo.; a brother: Tom (Ruthie) Schweiss of New Offenburg, Mo.; two brothers-in-law: Donnie Gegg of Sainte Genevieve, Mo. and Jim Schulte of Florissant, Mo.; and grandchildren: Zach and Maria Bleckler; Marley Griffin; Delilah, Walker, Isaac, and Jacob and Rosemarie Schweiss.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters: Laverne Schulte and Bernadine Gegg; and a Brother-in-law: Royce Flieg.
He was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Church and the Weingarten Jaycee’s Club.
Bob served in the United States Navy as an Air Traffic Control Man.
He enjoyed playing cards, hunting, golfing and he carried on the tradition of the family farm with his brother Tom.
Most of all Bob was a devoted husband, father and Papa.
Visitation will be 3-6 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2024 at the Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.

In keeping with Bob’s wishes his body was donated to St. Louis University School of Medicine
