STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve’s Addison Geiler scored a fourth place finish at the Girls Class 1 State Wrestling Championships
STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve’s Evan Winters, Jacob Schweigert, and Drake Meyer came in second and Owen Drury and Gage Gross came in fifth at the Boys Class 2 State Wrestling Championships.
STE. GENEVIEVE – Valle’s Kalan Fallert came in sixth in the Boys Class 1 State Wrestling Championships.
Girls Basketball
PERRYVILLE – Perryville has the second seed in the Class 4 District 2 tournament and will play third seed Ste. Genevieve at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Park Hills Central.
Boys Basketball
PERRYVILLE – St. Vincent beat Crystal City 68-49 in the Class 2 District 4 Tournament.
Colden Prost led the scoring with 18 points, Jacob Schremp had 14, Max Wheeler had 12, Parker Ellis had 10, Payton Strattman and Case Huber each had six and two for Wyatt Winkler. The Indians improve to 16-10.
The Indians will play Brentwood Saturday at 6 p.m. in the district championship game.
STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve won at Perryville 54-40.
However, the Pirates’ Jake Cissell is NOW the CAREER LEADER in 3pt made field goals in a season with 90 made 3-pointers this season!
The old record was 89 made 3pt field goals in a season, which was held by Tim Schaupert in the 1993-1994 season.
Jake is also the record holder of Career made 3pt field goals (he broke this record earlier in the season). Jake is currently sitting at 154 made 3 pointers in his career, and he is ONLY a Junior!
Ste. Genevieve has the top seed in the Class 4 District 1 boys basketball tournament.
Dexter is next, followed by Kennett, Fredericktown, Doniphan and Perryville.
Games begin on Tuesday.
