PERRYVILLE, Mo. – Saturday, February 24th from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., Missouri’s National Veterans Memorial (MNVM) invites everyone to stop by for its first ever Kids Day event!
Visitors will be able to explore the day in life of a service member in WWI as they touch/feel/see WWI memorabilia from the Missouri State Museum in Jefferson City, hear remarks by a Dough Boy reenactor in full military dress and learn the meaning of a Poppy flower as each kid creates their own to take home.
There is no cost to attend, so parents and guardians are encouraged to bring their children or grandchildren to the event as it is an excellent opportunity to teach them about the importance of service, sacrifice, and the value of freedom.
