A funeral will be held Friday, Feb. 23, 2024 for 64-year-old Sherry Lynn Ann Winkelman of Red Bud, Illinois, who passed away at 5:03 am, Monday, February 19, 2024 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.
She was born May 31, 1959 in Chicago, Ill. to Jack and Sharon (nee Braun) Poirrier, who each preceded her in death.
Sherry married Curtis R. Winkelman November 8, 1980 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Red Bud, Illinois; he survives in Red Bud.
She is also survived by two sons: Kyle (Katie) Winkelman of Red Bud, Ill. and Tanner (Nicole) Winkelman St. Louis, Mo., two brothers: Kenneth (Missy) Poirrier of Red Bud, Ill. and Tim Poirrier (Valerie) of Ballwin, Mo.; in-laws: Arlin and Helen Winkelman of Red Bud, Ill.; a sister in law: Nancy (Bruce) Cowell of Red Bud, Ill. and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She had been a homemaker.
Sherry enjoyed baking, cooking, reading, an occasional shopping trip, and spending time with her family.
Sherry loved animals, especially her dogs.
She also enjoyed boating on Table Rock Lake.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Red Bud, Illinois.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m Thursday and 10-11 a.m. Friday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Red Bud, Ill.
A memorial service for 64-year-old Sherry Lynn Ann Winkelman of Red Bud, Ill., will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 23 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Red Bud, Illinois. Officiating: Rev. Mark Nebel.
