Boys Basketball

 

STE. GENEVIEVE – Valle lost at Oak Ridge 64-42.

 

The Warriors have the seventh seed and will play No. 2 seed Notre Dame in the Class 3 District 2 Tournament Tuesday at 5 p.m.

 

PERRYVILLE – St. Vincent won at Meadow Heights 81-62.

 

Max Wheeler had 20 points to lead the Indians. Colden Prost had 18, Jacob Schremp had 10, Payton Strattman and Wyatt Winkler had eight points, Parker Ellis had six, Boston Tarillion had five, Case Huber and Andrew Schumer had three.

 

The varsity closes out the regular season 15-10 and will next play in the Class 2 District 4 Tournament.

St. Vincent has the stop seed, Caledonia had the No. 2 seed, Brentwood is No. 3, Carystal City is No. 4, Bismarck is No. 5, New Haven is No. 6, Viburnum is No. 7.

 

The Indians play Bismarck or Crystal City at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the Class 2 District 4 Tournament Wednesday. Bismarck and Crystal City play Tuesday at 4:30.

 

The junior varsity Indians won a two-quarter contest 36-11.

 

Wyatt Winkler led St. Vincent’s JV with 11 points. Quinton Doza had eight points, Gavin Hotop had six points, Case Huber and Andrew Schumer each had four points and Logan Hornburger had three points.

 

The junior varsity Indians close out their season with a 16-5 record, but the JV will be playing with the varsity in the upcoming district tournament thanks to the Indians roster of only 12 players in all.

 

STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve High School hosts Kelly today: freshmen at 5, JV at 6:15 and varsity 7:30.

 

PERRYVILLE – Perryville plays at Hillsboro today.

 

Girls Basketball

 

STE. GENEVIEVE – The 4th seed Lady Warriors play 5th seeded Brentwood at 4:30 p.m. Monday, in the district tournament.

 

STE GENEVIEVE — Ste. Genevieve played the lights out with great effort on both ends. The final score came down to the last shot, but the girls just couldn’t get the ball to fall and they came up short to Festus 47-45.

 

The Dragons host Perryville Monday. JV at 5:30, varsity at 7.

 

PERRYVILLE – Perryville lost to Hillsboro 51-29. One bright note, Brooklyn Moll scored her 1,000 career point.

 

 

Perryville falls to 16-8 on the season.

 

PERRYVILLE – St. Vincent lost to Farmington twice last night. The varsity fell 63-35 and the junior varsity also lost 63-35.

 

The Lady Indians play Crystal City Monday at 6 p.m. in the Class 2 District 4 Tournament.

 

Wrestling

STE. GENEVIEVE – Valle wrestles in the Class 1 District 1 Tournament today and Saturday.

 

STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve boys wrestle in the Class 2 District 1 Tournament today and Saturday.

 

STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve’s Class 2 state qualifiers are Paityn Basler-1st, Hollyn Zangaro-2nd, Anna Fischer-3rd, Addison Geiler-3rd, and Maggie Price-4th. The state meet will be Feb. 21 and 22.
