KANSAS CITY – The Mountain-Plains Information Office of the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics today released Women’s Earnings in Missouri – 2022.
Assistant Commissioner for Regional Operations Michael Hirniak noted the following points:
- Missouri women who were full-time wage and salary workers had median usual weekly earnings of $882, or 79.5 percent of the $1,110 median usual weekly earnings of their male counterparts in 2022.
- Nationwide, women earned $958 per week, or 83.0 percent of the $1,154 median for men.
- Among the 50 states and the District of Columbia, median weekly earnings of women in full-time wage and salary positions in 2022 ranged from $751 in Mississippi to $1,626 in the District of Columbia. (See map 1.)
- In the states, Rhode Island had the highest women’s-to-men’s earnings ratio, 99.6 percent, and Utah had the lowest, 73.1 percent.
