STE. GENEVIEVE – The Ste. Genevieve Board of Aldermen met Thursday night for its regular session and completed its business in under an hour.
Jeffrey Stroder, CPA presented the city’s annual audit report.
He said the audit is “clean” and the city’s books fairly represent the city’s finances.
City Administrator Happy Welch announced that a public WiFi service is being installed at Pere Marquette Park to allow those visiting the park to have internet access when they are near the park house.
He also announced that city hall will move back to 165 South Fourth Street February 19.
The aldermen approved three resolutions as part of the consent agenda: one reappoints Carl Kinsky to the Planning and Zoning Commission, another reappoints Casey Benner to the Heritage Commission and the third appoints Laura Oliver to the Tourism Tax Commission.
Three measures were given final approval:
A three-year $50,400 contract with K&J Landscaping for cemetery lawn mowing and maintenance services.
An agreement with McLiney and Company to serve as municipal advisors and
A change in the code of ordinances to add a new section 200.1 for mineral area major case squad.
