A funeral was held Friday, December 10, 2021 for 91-year-old Mae L. Dickerson of Sedgewickville, Mo. who passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at her residence.
She was born December 24, 1929 in Bloomsdale, Mo., the daughter of George F. and Mary E. (Beckermeyer) Boyer
She married Vernon G. Gowen, Billy A. Dickerson, and Floyd Thomas Dickerson and they preceded her in death.
She is survived by three sons: Roger Gowen of the state of Kansas, Dave (Lynn) Dickerson of Perryville, Mo., and Danny Gowen of Perryville; four daughters: Carol (Steve) Smith of Sedgewickville, Mo., Ella Dlugolenski of Edinburgh, Penn., Shirley Cook of Perryville, Rita (Bob) Otte of Perryville; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three sons: Vernon Gowen, John Gowen, and Tom Gowen; a daughter: Patty Bohnert; a sister: Ruth Kemper; and two brothers: Joe Boyer, and Landry Boyer.
Mae was retired from the packaging department at Gilster Mary-Lee cake mix plant and she was a homemaker.
She loved to work in her flower and vegetable garden, and do canning and quilting.
Mae loved spending time with and helping her family and friends.
Friends called at the Heartland Baptist Church in Perryville, Friday, December 10, 2021 from 9-10 a.m.

Burial was at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Ill.
