SPARTA – The Sparta Police Department has announced Officer Charles Tindall has been selected as the department’s 2023 Officer of the Year.
Officer Tindall served part-time for the Village of Willisville for 2 1/2 years as well as full-time for the City of Steeleville for just under two years before joining the Sparta Police Dept.
“Officer Tindall has served our community and the Village of Tilden. We thank you for your dedication to our communities safety,” a police official stated.
The department also announced that K9 Officer Adam Diercks, Officer Kevin Otten and Officer Tindall are recipients of the A.C.E. Award for advanced criminal enforcement felony arrests.
“We recognize these Officers for their outstanding self-initiated proactivity in keeping our communities safe,” the official added.
