STE. GENEVIEVE – The official cause of the fire that resulted in the death of a 59-year-old Ste. Genevieve County man is undetermined.
The victim was identified as Dean “Deano” Andrew Grieshaber. His funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, January 15
The Missouri State Fire Marshal’s office investigated the fire and reports the fire is not considered to be suspicious.
The fire erupted around 11 p.m. Saturday and within minutes fully engulfed the single story wood frame structure on Highway 61 north of Ste. Genevieve.
Firefighters say they could not enter the house because of the intensity of the blaze. The victim’s body was not found until after the fire was out.
