Marshall Lucian Brewer

A graveside service will be held Friday, Dec. 22, 2023 for 86-year-old Marshall Lucian Brewer of Ellis Grove, Illinois, who passed away at 6:02 a.m., Friday, December 15, 2023 at St. Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.


He was born April 26, 1937 to the late Lucian Ignatius and Irma Isabella (nee Mudd) Brewer in Evansville, Illinois.


Marshall married Carmeline Laurent on May 25, 1957 in Prairie du Rocher, Illinois; she survives in Ellis Grove.

 

He is also survived by three children: Timothy Lee Brewer of Ellis Grove, IL, Lisa Marie Brewer (Mark) Pierce of Worden, IL and Kristi Lynn Brewer-Patrick of Collinsville, IL; a brother: Adrian Brewer of St. Clair, Mo.; three sisters: Rose Brewer Eggemeyer of Ellis Grove, IL, Rita Brewer Lawrence of Ellis Grove, IL and Violet Brewer Capps of Millstadt, IL; two sisters-in-law: Wilma Beck of Brewer Tennessee and Marion Brewer of the state of Missouri; six grandchildren: Laurel Brewer (Randy Bone), Rhoda Brewer Youngblood, Amanda Pierce (Shaun) Hillis, Sarah Pierce (Jake) Wolpers, Kelly Kimbrell (Colton) Hunt and Cole Patrick; 10 great grandchildren: Cory Whitelaw, Tyler Whitelaw, Noah Bone, Lillian Bone, Lucian Youngblood, Blaise Youngblood, Rhett Hillis, Autumn Hillis, Phoenix Hunt and Ivan Hunt and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

 

He was also preceded in death by preceded in death by: an infant sister: Goldie Brewer, four brothers: Charles Brewer, Calvin (Florence) Brewer, Sylvan Brewer and Robert Brewer and a sister: Fern Brewer (Clifford) Loesche.

 

He retired in 1997 after 40 years of roofing and was a member of the Roofer’s Local 2 in St. Louis, Missouri.

 

He was also a member of the Eagles Club Aerie #3252 in Chester.


It was Marshall’s wish to be cremated.

 

A graveside service for 86-year-old Marshall Lucian Brewer of Ellis Grove, Illinois will be held at 1 p.m, Friday, December 22, 2023 at Ellis Grove City Cemetery with the Rev. Phillip Keeton officiating.


Memorials in Marshall’s memory may be made to Donor’s Choice and will be accepted at the Pechacek Funeral Home in Chester, Illinois.
