PERRY COUNTY – Starting today at 8:30 a.m., BNSF Railway plans to begin closing its railroad crossings on State Routes C, E, M and H in Perry County, Missouri, to perform routine maintenance on the railroad tracks at each of those crossings.
BNSF will start its maintenance work at the Route C crossing, then move to the Route E crossing, then Route M crossing and finish with the Route H crossing.
While maintenance is being performed at a crossing, the road will be closed to the public in both directions for up to six hours.
This rail maintenance work is weather dependent.
Signs should be posted alerting the public to the closures.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention in these areas.
