Ste. Genevieve sales tax is down for the month, but up for the year

STE. GENEVIEVE — Income from Ste. Genevieve’s half-cent general sales tax was down nearly $2,300 in November, but is up $35,266.12 so far this calendar year.

 

The November sales tax receipts totalled $69,171.08; while the calendar year to date totalled $759,938.40.

 

The city’s mass transportation and capital improvements taxes each brought in about $34,171 which is up $1,461 from the same month last year.

 

So far this year, the two taxes brought in $357,701 each.

 

The city’s fourth tax, the consolidated city use tax brought in $26,906 in November, which is up about $5,683 from the same month last year.

 

So far this calendar year, the consolidated city use tax has raised $235,986, which is about nearly $32,500 from the same period last year.
