A graveside service will be held Thursday, December 14, 2023 for 86-year-old Delores Y. Wingerter of Perryville, Missouri who passed away Friday, December 8, 2023 at Independence Care Center of Perry County.
She was born June 11, 1937 in Minnith, Mo. to Gilbert and Reva (Rader) Evans who both preceded her in death.
Delores and Dr. Carl Wildman were married August 6, 1964 at First Baptist Church in Perryville, MO. He preceded her death on June 7, 1985.
Delores and Norman J. Wingerter were married December 22, 1990 at First Baptist Church in Perryville, Mo.. He survives in Perryville.
She was a medical receptionist and assistant, a member of First Baptist Church and the American Legion Post 133 Auxiliary.
Delores loved going to area nursing homes to fix ladies hair and do their nails. She enjoyed the outdoors and took every opportunity to go fishing, hunting and camping with her husband and best friend Norman.
Survivors include a daughter: Diane (Mike) Phillips of Jefferson City, Mo.; a granddaughter: Melissa Phillips; and a great-granddaughter: Jayden Phillips.
She was also preceded in death by her first husband: Dr. Carl Wildman; and a brother: Robert “Bob” Evans.
A graveside service for 86-year-old Delores Y. Wingerter of Perryville will be held Thursday, December 14th, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Home Cemetery in Perryville with Rev. Logan Bennett officiating.
Burial will be at Home Cemetery in Perryville.
Memorial contributions may be given to American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
