JEFFERSON CITY — A 43-year-old Perryville man suffered moderate injuries in a traffic crash on Highway 51 in Perry County Thursday night.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Nathaniel E. Birkner was taken to Perry County Memorial Hospital (Mercy Hospital Perry) by a private conveyance.
The patrol says the single vehicle accident happened when the eastbound 2001 Ford Mustang Birkner was driving ran off the left side of the road and struck an embankment.
The crash happened about 8:11 p.m. at Perry County Road 712 (North Junction).
The patrol says Birkner was wearing his seatbelt.
The Mustang received moderate damage and was taken by Hunsaker Towing.
