A funeral will be held Friday, Nov. 17, 2023 for 81-year-old Jean Marie Hill of Red Bud, Illinois, who passed away at 2:52 p.m., Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at her residence.
She was born September 30, 1942 in DuQuoin, Ill. daughter of Richard and Melba (nee Gutherie) Todd who both preceded her in death.
She married Dallas J. Hill on August 20, 1966 in Pinckneyville, Illinois, He preceded her in death March 28, 2020.
She is survived by two children: Lauri Hamilton of Clayton, N.C. and Todd (Ginger) Hill of Red Bud, Ill.; three grandchildren: Logan, Ashlyn and Carson Biethman; a brother: Richard (Jean) Todd of Hannibal, Mo.; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She enjoyed working as a teacher assistant at Red Bud Elementary School and made many friends during her time there.
She was a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Red Bud, Illinois.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren, friends, and traveling with her husband in their RV.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Pechacek Funeral Homes in Red Bud, Illinois and 9:30-11 a.m. Friday at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, Red Bud, Illinois.
A funeral for 81-year-old Jean Marie Hill of Red Bud, Illinois will be held at 11 a.m. November 17, 2023 at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Red Bud, Illinois. The Rev. Cory Hartz will officiate.
Interment will be in the St. Peter’s United Church of Christ Cemetery in Red Bud, Illinois.
