STE GENEVIEVE – The top three finishers in the annual Voice of Democracy Oral Essay Contest have been announced.
Valle Senior Camryn Skaggs, daughter of Darren and Dawn Wehner ’89 Skaggs, received first place honors.
Valle Freshman Marlena Hoog, daughter of Jeremy ’93 and Christine Huck ’93 Hoog, received third place honors.
Ste. Genevieve High School junior Lucy Sears, the daughter of Roy and Debora Bronson received second place.
The contest is sponsored annually by the Ste. Genevieve VFW Post 2210 and VFW Auxiliary.
The theme of this year’s oral essay was “What are the greatest attributes of our Democracy?”
