Visitation will be held Thursday, December 9, 2021 for 51-year-old Joseph “Joe” Anthony Mitchem of Park Hills, Mo., formerly of Bloomsdale, Mo. who passed away Friday, December 3, 2021 at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, Mo.
He was born September 25, 1970 in St. Louis, Mo. the son of Ruby B Mitchem who preceded him in death and Curtis D (Ruby) Mitchem who survives in Perryville, Mo.
He is also survived by a daughter: Ella Mitchem; a sister: Regina (Raymond Sr.) Crossland of Perryville, Mo.; a brother: Fred Mitchem of House Springs, Mo.; six nieces and nephews; and 18 great nieces and great nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a brother: David Curtis (Joann) Mitchem Sr.
He was a member of Teamsters Local Union 682 and a proud firefighter at the Kinsey Volunteer Fire Department.
Joe loved hockey, especially the St. Louis Blues.
Joe was a loving person and devoted to his daughter. She was his world and Joe will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, December 9, 2021 at the Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.
Memorials may be made to the Kinsey Volunteer Fire Department.
