STE. GENEVIEVE — The Ste. Genevieve Board of Aldermen met Thursday evening Oct. 26 in the temporary city hall at 44 Plaza Drive in the Plaza Ste. Genevieve.

Among the items on the consent agenda:
Two street closures:
Third Street from Market to Merchant from 9:30 to 1045 a.m. for a monument dedication and Jefferson Street from Main to Valle Saturday, October 28 for 4-8 p.m. for a pumpkin glow at Main Street Park.
Two resolutions are on the agenda:
One approves a $13,500 agreement with right of way acquisition services for the St. Mary Road Trail. The measure was passed after discussion after it was pulled off the consent agenda on a motion by Robert Donovan.
The other approves spending $6,510 for the purchase of two handheld radios for the police department.
Two measures were on the agenda for final action:
One transfers the site of the old Blain Street water tower to James T. Beckerman. Approved 8-0.
The other approved spending $6,885 for an emergency alert texting service. Approved 8-0.
Three measures were on the agenda for first round action:
An amendment to the video service providers ordinance to bring it into compliance with state statutes. Approve 8-0.
The second amends a no parking restricting on Jefferson Street between Third and Fourth Street for both first and second round approval. Alderman Joe Steiger voted against a second reading, but joined the other aldermen in voting aye on second reading and it passed 8-0.
The third sets the April 2nd municipal election. Approved 8-0.
