STE. GENEVIEVE – Valle Catholic High School recently inducted 19 new members into the National Honor Society (NHS) in a cereony in the Ste. Genevieve Catholic Church.
NHS is one of the oldest, largest and most prestigious high school organizations. Valle Catholic’s chapter was started in 1967.
Moderator Linda Trimmer began the ceremony, and was assisted by current officers, who spoke about the four pillars of NHS. Camryn Skaggs (president) presented leadership. Truman Tucker (vice president) spoke about scholarship. Kelsey Blum (secretary) presented service, and Ade Weiler (treasurer) described character.
Fr. Gerber and Mr. Craig Gibbs, High School President, presented each student with their pin and candle. Current members of NHS include Kelsey Blum, Kyndal Chapman, Hailey Coleman, Nicole Gegg, Rylee Overmann, Alexis Ritter, Camryn Skaggs, Hannah Staab, Truman Tucker, Ade Weiler, and Cannon Wolk.
They are joined by new members Amara Basler, Andrew Basler, Jensen Blum, Addison Donze, Lucy Drury, Tyler Gegg, Madelyn Griffard, Elizabeth Heberlie, William Kuehn, Preston Lurk, Ava Meyer, Eli Rolwes, Patrick Schilly, Garrett Shortt, Barrett Vaeth, Thomas Varga, Carter Viox, Brooklyn Weibrecht and Abree Zipprich.
