PERRYVILLE – Clouds obscured the Saturday annular eclipse for many in the River Region.
Still, the partial eclipse, was only partially obscured by the clouds that greeted photographer Randy McWilson of Perryville as he gazed skyward.

McWilson was able to snap the photo shown as the partial eclipse took place silently overhead Saturday.
The eclipse is a prelude to the region’s second total solar eclipse in seven years, set for April 8, 2024.
Like its counterpart in August 2017, this eclipse will provide a few minutes of totality to the River Region counties.
Now let’s hope the weather cooperates.
