STE. GENEVIEVE, Mo. – The Adopt-a-Family Program serves as a valuable resource for local families struggling to make ends meet during the holiday. Through this program, generous individuals, businesses, and community organizations provide gifts, clothing, and other necessities to children in need. This program serves children under the age of 15 in Ste. Genevieve County.
Over the years, the program has expanded to address the evolving needs of the community, necessitating broader community partnerships. This year, the program is being facilitated by Ste. Genevieve Community Services Forum, represented by three of its members: University of Missouri Extension, Ste. Genevieve County Health Department, and Ste. Genevieve County Community Center.
Applications are now open. Families may submit their application by November 15 to the Health Department. Please direct any questions to (573) 883-7411.
This program depends upon the generosity of donors to succeed. MU Extension is accepting donor applications through November 15. Please call (573) 883-3548 for more details.
Both family and donor details are kept confidential.
The goal is for all families that are matched to a donor to receive their gifts during December 14 and 15 from 2 to 6 p.m. Gift pickup will occur at the Community Center’s Progress Sports Complex.
