COLLINSVILLE – Three persons died early Saturday morning in a traffic crash on Illinois Route 4 in Madison County.
The Illinois State Police identified the fatalities as: 21-year-old Chase Bowles of Alton, Illinois, 21-year-old Emily K. Morton of Nixa, Mo. and 21-year-old Jayda N. Fulkerson of Marine, Illinois.
According to the ISP accident report the crash happened about 3:44 a.m. just north of Old State Route 4 when a southbound 2024 Buick Verano driven by Bowles crossed the centerline and struck a northbound 2017 Ford Escape driven by Morton. Fulkerson was a passenger in the Escape.
