CHESTER – Chester High School’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) group traveled to Southern Illinois University on Saturday September 2 to watch the Salukis take on the Governors of Austin Peay.
It was Family and Faith Daya at SIU and Christian groups from all across Southern Illinois were invited to take part in the activities at Saluki Stadium.

Chester High School FCA sponsors Krista Krieg and Javon Wente took 26 students to the game: Noah Homan, Katelin Conway, Olivia Sellers, Mirra Krieg, Camdyn Quillman, Bailey Hartmann, Taylor Throop, Megan Zimmer, Aden Runge, Logan Brace, Korbin Jany, Carlos Jimenez, Whitney Sulser, Jordan Buskohl, Gianna Eggemeyer, Hannah Kaempfe, Lincoln Schroeder, Kolton Jany, Elaina Lutman, Caleb Richmond, Brayden Juenger, Mackenzie Studt, Annah Helvey Ahring, Trevor Keeton, Olivia Earl, and Gage Yankey.
The group had a great time and enjoyed cheering on the Salukis as thy accomplished a huge win over Austin Peay, 49-23.
Krista Krieg said, “The kids had a great time, saw a great game, experienced a great win, and enjoyed good, clean, family fun in a great atmosphere.
