JEFFERSON CITY—The Missouri Public Service Commission has granted Spire Missouri, Inc. (Spire) a certificate of convenience and necessity (CCN) to construct, own, operate and maintain a natural gas distribution system providing natural gas service in Cass County near Raymore, Missouri.
The CCN will be a further expansion of Spire’s existing certificated area.
The Commission approved the application determining:
- There is a need for the service;
2) Spire is qualified to provide the proposed service;
3) Spire has the financial ability to provide the service;
4) Spire’s proposal is economically feasible; and
5) The service promotes the public interest.
Spire provides natural gas service to approximately 1.19 million natural gas customers in the City of St. Louis as well as the Missouri counties of Andrew, Barry, Barton, Bates, Buchanan, Butler, Carroll, Cass, Cedar, Christian, Clay, Clinton, Cooper, Crawford, Dade, DeKalb, Franklin, Greene, Henry, Howard, Iron, Jackson, Jasper, Jefferson, Johnson, Lafayette, Lawrence, Madison, McDonald, Moniteau, Newton, Pettis, Platte, Ray, Saline, Stone, St. Charles, St. Francois, Ste. Genevieve, St. Louis, Vernon and Warren.
